Today, CMMI® Institute is pleased to announce that it has been acquired and will now operate as a subsidiary of ISACA®, the not-for-profit, professional association for IT governance, assurance and cybersecurity professionals based out of Chicago. With a 28% increase in US penetration and 17% increase globally in organizations earning a CMMI maturity level rating in 2015, CMMI Institute is serving more organizations year over year. By joining forces, our two organizations will raise the level of enterprise-wide performance for existing and prospective members, partners, and customers. Kirk Botula is the CEO of the CMMI® Institute, the home of the globally-adopted capability improvement framework that guides organizations in high-performance operations. Botula is a global growth company executive whose career has been focused on advancing the common good through the commercialization of technology. Prior to CMMI Institute, Botula served as President of Confluence, a global financial technology firm with operations in North America, EMEA and Asia.

During his tenure, Confluence became the leading provider in its space achieving market share exceeding 70% in North America and 20% globally, while delivering the industry leading NPS of 40. Botula also served at BNY Mellon, Compunetix, and as a strategist to a variety of non-profit and for-profit organizations. He has a BFA and MSIA from Carnegie Mellon University and lives in Pittsburgh with his wife and three daughters.

Matthew S. Loeb, CGEIT, CAE, is the CEO of ISACA®, a global association helping organizations improve their business performance by realizing the potential of technology. Prior to joining ISACA, Loeb completed a 20-year career as staff executive for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and executive director of the IEEE Foundation. He has also worked for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and Tandy Corporation/Radio Shack in sales, marketing, acquisitions, product development and strategy development roles.

Loeb holds ISACA’s Certified Governance of Enterprise Technology (CGEIT) certification, the American Society of Association Executive’s (ASAE’s) certification, and Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. He is a member of ISACA, ASAE, CESSE and NACD, and a senior member of IEEE. With a passion for soccer, Loeb is a licensed soccer referee and national coach for US Soccer in his free time. He resides in Barrington, IL with Lyn, his wife of 31 years.
