Scrum MAX

Compliance MAX

·         Use the Compliance MAX © Demix 2017 to appraise the strength of your compliance function.

·         The model covers three tiers of best practices.

o    ·       GACP: Is the Compliance Institute Southern Africa’s Generally Accepted Compliance Practice framework.

o    ·         QAR: Additional Quality Assurance Review practices focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.

o    ·         Capability and Maturity: Building, structuring and extending the GACP and QAR best practices into a Capability Maturity Model architecture.

 

 

CMMI ACQ

·         The CMMI® for Acquisition model provides guidance for applying CMMI best practices in an acquiring organization. Best practices in the model focus on activities for initiating and managing the acquisition of products and services to meet the needs of customers and end users.

·         Demix uses the CMMI Institute's SCAMPI (Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement) to conduct our appraisals. In the standard SCAMPI appraisal there are 3 classes of appraisals, listed below. Demix have added one more type, the Class-D, to cater for our online appraisals.

·         The output of a SCAMPI (A, B and C) is a strength and weaknesses report on the selected process areas of the best practice model that are being used (CMMI for Development, CMMI for Acquisition, CMMI for Services, People CMM, ITIL, TOGAF or other).

CMMI DEV

·         The CMMI® for Development provides guidance for applying best practices in a software development organization. It can also be applied to software maintenance and enhancements. For software support services it may be useful to rather consider CMMI for Services. CMMI stands for Capability Maturity Model Intergration.

·         There are essentially 3 services that is provided with the CMMI for Development

o    The CMMI for Development V1-3 model which contain all the best practices

o    3 Day Introduction to CMMI for Development training services

o    SCAMPI (Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement) appraisal method that is used to assess an organisation’s practices against the CMMI model’s set of best practices

·         Formal or tailored ISO/IEC 33000-compliant IT process capability assessments using the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model.

 

SIX SIGMA

·         Six Sigma projects follow two project methodologies inspired by Deming's Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle. These methodologies, composed of five phases each, bear the acronyms DMAIC and DMADV.

·         DMAIC ("duh-may-ick", /dʌ.ˈmeɪ.ɪk/) is used for projects aimed at improving an existing business process.

·         DMADV ("duh-mad-vee", /dʌ.ˈmæd.vi/) is used for projects aimed at creating new product or process designs.
